With the release of Babeland Photo Pro (version 1.058 and higher), you can now schedule events to start and stop based on a provided date and time. This can be helpful if you are not going to be in the presence of your photo booth (such as when you may be shipping your booth from one event to the next, or when you'd like to pre-configure events far in advance of their start time).
To schedule events to start/stop, create a new event in your app, or open an existing event's settings. Then, navigate to Preferences -> Management, and tap the Set Schedule button on the right-hand side.
You will be prompted with a window to configure a few settings; the date/time you'd like the event to start, the date/time you'd like the event to stop, and whether you'd like the event to "autostart" and "lock to this iPad."
Choosing your event to "lock to this iPad" will ensure that, when the app launches between your "start" and "stop" time, this event will be the only event visible to the user, making it appear as though the entire app is dedicated to their event and their event alone (you can learn more about this feature in general here).
As always, you can configure events to "autostart" or "lock to this iPad" regardless of using our new scheduling feature, but do note that once the app is launched, any scheduled items will take precedence over any manual settings you may have set.
Helpful Tip: We recommend scheduling your event to start and stop with a comfortable buffer. For example, if your event is going to actually begin at 7:00pm, you may want to set the start time to be earlier, such as 12:00pm. In case the your photo booth were to be turned on and set up prior to the event beginning, you may want to allow extra time for additional configurations. The same applies for ending your event. However, once your event is set to end, the app will not close your event (this is to prevent guests being interrupted while taking photos; once you exit the camera, the next scheduled event, if any, will take effect).
Scheduling events will overwrite any settings for "autostart" and "lock to this iPad" - be sure you check your configurations to allow for the best guest experience.
